| It's 4 am and instead of sleeping I am writing a review. Why? Because it's about 80 degrees in my room right now. Now, I realize that sometimes things happen in hotels and the AC unit quits working. Which is why I called the front desk to see what could be done. Now when I told the lady that it was so hot in our room the only person that could sleep was our baby her customer service training was to tell us "Well I'm sitting down here roasting too ma'am".....That's what you want to hear right? Then I asked if they perhaps had a fan we could use since we're upstairs we can't even open a window. And she said that usually they do, but they all must be in other rooms right now. So...I asked the obvious question, "Are there problems with your AC units"? According to her no, but she is roasting and the fans are all checked out for the night. HUM? Well, they offered to move us, but when we checked in the only other rooms they would have were smoking and it is 4 am and I have a baby to consider. So I asked what I thought was the next logical answer...."Can I be compensated for my night's stay since they only person that can sleep in this hot room is my baby?"....Again her customer service training showed through when I was told "Well you are getting a very good rate at only $49.00 ma'am"....Which may sound cheap but consider that fact that it's a corporate rate because so many rooms are booked for so long with our company, that is really an average rate for us to stay anywhere. And the plus side of other hotel rooms are.....YOU CAN SLEEP IN THEM!!!!! |
